Chestnuts Roasting on a Smoker Cooker

What is Christmas without Chestnuts Roasting?

Where there’s fire, you have the ability to roast your chestnuts. You can roast them on your smoker cooker, in a charcoal grill, or if you have a Deluxe Lang BBQ Smoker, you can do it in the warmer box.

Roast your chestnuts on a smoker cooker, charcoal grill, the warmer box of a Lang BBQ Smoker Deluxe model, or even one of our fire pits.
Ingredients
  • 1-2 pounds of fresh, unshelled chestnuts
Instructions
  1. Fire up your smoker cooker to 400º
  2. Consider adding some apple wood, wild cherry wood, or other fruit wood for additional flavor
  3. Rinse the chestnuts
  4. Consider scoring each chestnut with an "X", a single cut, or trim off one the top of one side
  5. Lay the chestnuts on your smoker cooker
  6. Shut the smoker door
  7. No need to turn the chestnuts with Lang's reverse flow heat
  8. Cook for approximately 45 minutes

    • Mr Thomas,
As none of those are a Lang, we hesitate to recommend any which are not up to our standards.
However, if you go do LangSmokerOwners on Facebook, they can recommend what they used before
      moving up to a Lang.
      Thank you.
