{"id":1116,"date":"2021-05-20T16:56:09","date_gmt":"2021-05-20T16:56:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.langbbqsmokers.com\/blog\/?p=1116"},"modified":"2021-05-20T16:56:41","modified_gmt":"2021-05-20T16:56:41","slug":"smoked-chopped-chicken-and-swiss-w-charred-broccolini-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.langbbqsmokers.com\/blog\/smoked-chopped-chicken-and-swiss-w-charred-broccolini-recipe\/","title":{"rendered":"Smoked Chopped Chicken and Swiss w\/ Charred Broccolini Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-496\" src=\"https:\/\/business.langbbqsmokers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/south-of-heaven-BBQ-16.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"205\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Smoked Chopped Chicken and Swiss w\/ Charred Broccolini Recipe:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Smoked Chicken and Swiss with Broccolini.\u00a0 Slow smoked, chopped chicken with melted swiss and rosemary mayo.\u00a0 Topped with charred broccolini and served on Texas toast.<\/p>\n<p>Take a pack of chicken thighs and use a spog rub (salt, pepper, onion, garlic) and apply somewhat generously.<\/p>\n<p>I put my thighs on the Lang when I\u2019ve reached 250 degrees in my Lang smoker.<\/p>\n<p>I cook the chicken until an internal temp of 165, mopping the chicken toward the end of the cook with a simple vinegar mop w\/red pepper flakes, and a little brown sugar.<\/p>\n<p>Broccolini- I drizzle a nice olive oil over the broccolini and season with salt and pepper.<\/p>\n<p>Put in the smoker for 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>When I take them off, I put them in a hot skillet to finish tenderizing and to get a little char.<\/p>\n<p>My Rosemary Mayo: two tablespoons of minced garlic, a few sprigs of rosemary finely chopped after destemming. Then add to a cup of mayo and mix thoroughly. Better if it sits overnight.<\/p>\n<p>Toast your favorite bun, add the chopped chicken to a skillet add two slices of swiss let it get nice and bubbly,<\/p>\n<p>Add your rosemary mayo to the bottom of your toasted bun, add your chicken and swiss and then top it off with your smoked charred broccolini.
