The 2011 Western Maine BBQ Festival presents Chef Paul Kirk's "School of Pitmasters." The Kansas City Baron of Barbecue will be on hand to conduct his internationally famous all-day BBQ and cooking class. For the class, Ben Lang will be sending six Lang BBQ Smokers® 36 Original Patio smoker cookers, 1/4 inch steel version, for students in the class to learn on. This is a great way to learn how to use your 36 Original Patio model! Chef Kirk is the author of six BBQ cookbooks and winner of over 500 cooking and BBQ awards. Learn the secrets of creating award-winning BBQ. This class is open to novices and professionals alike. You will learn scads of BBQing tips, get a lot of good food to eat, and make new BBQ buddies.

Chef Paul Kirk is the winner of seven world BBQ championships, one of which is the prestigious American Royal Open, the world's largest barbecue contest. For a fee of just $250.00 you can spend the day learning from the master. The classes are small with hands-on instruction. Former students say Chef Kirk can take three years of trial and error off your journey toward producing award-winning BBQ. Chef Kirk has trained chefs from Oregon to Switzerland, including six Disney World chefs.
